Hats and Funny Crafts

Angela here! It's been another crazy couple weeks for the Kemp's.  We almooosssttt bought a house last week.  We had signed the papers and negotiated the deal.  But then....to make a long story short....the dad was military, the mom was crazy and their five children had a busy summer schedule.  So things fell through.  But everything happens for a reason, so we picked ourselves up and continued the house hunt this past weekend.  We now have eyes on a fixer-upper.  And since Chris had agreed to hire people to fix it up, I won't have to worry about him trying to repair everything (ie. with double-sided tape, his 'go-to' tool).  Hopefully we have an update for everyone in the next couple weeks.

Hudson had a great St. Patty's Day.  He continues to pull himself up on furniture and crawl till there is no tomorrow.

We went to church this past weekend with all the fam.  I was hoping to get Huddy to wear his hat throughout the day, but he is currently not into hats....

Notice him standing on his own as he is trying to pull the hat off.  It's only a matter of time till that boy starts walking.  Help!

Hudson was quite the ladies man at church.  Fairhaven Church has this huge play area, that even includes a jungle gym, a baby play area, a submarine slide and countless activity rooms.  It makes it so easy to go to church when you have a place that is conducive to kids.  Props to Aunt Shannon for making the family be a bit more holier!

I will end with a video of my little man laughing...at me...or at least at my crafting.  You see, Lolly and I like to have "girl-time" every weekend where we do some sort of crafting or scrap-booking.  No boys allowed.  Mainly because my son will slober on everything and my husband will break everything.  And Pop has to be in charge of the dogs.  But of course, the boys always come down to check on us.  I was showing Huddy my project and he thought it was hilarious...

 Have a good week everyone!

Picture Overload!

Angela here!  Sorry for the MIA of the Kemp's but it's been a nonstop, crazy two weeks.  We have accepted an offer on our condo in Chicago (!!!)...hopefully the buyer doesn't back out like the last one did in November.  Closing date is April 18th.  We have also been on a mad house hunt, scouring through every neighborhood in Springboro, Ohio.  We meet with our realtor again this evening and have narrowed it down to two potential homes.  Let me rephrase...the selection is slim, and there are only two houses that we can see ourselves living in after it is repainted and re-carpeted.  The Midwest has this awkward trend of white appliances, vinyl floors and neon-painted rooms in EVERY ROOM of the house.  Needless to say, the ball is rolling and it won't stop.  And we are excited....

....and so is Lolly and Pop.  Because my little man is crawling.  A lot.  And Lolly is still implementing the no-mobile-baby policy.  I know my last email said he "thought" he could crawl, but now he's all over the place and is trying very very hard to walk.  He discovered his strength last week after he pulled himself up on the ottoman.  The picture below shows just how funny he thinks he is when he's about to crawl...

Huddy has had two play dates recently.  One in Louisville with baby Stella.  The other in Cincinnati with baby Cameron, Lucy and Greyson.  My child likes all babies...he will play and crawl on anyone.  And he loves to watch older kids, as they can do far cooler things than just crawl.  And so far, he is good at sharing, but I'm sure that will change soon.

Below is Hudson and Stella having a grand ole time with the bouncing ball dinosaur.  Stella is 2 months older than Huddy, and she could not have been more perfect....quiet, sweet, content and didn't destroy anything like my child (and my husband).

Greyson, Hudson, Lucy and baby Cameron.  They were all so cute to watch!

Now for picture overload.....

Whether he is crawling or walking with assistance, the boy won't stop moving.  Hudson will be 8 months later this week and I don't think I can deny anymore that this child will be walking very soon.  Anyone have a baby gate, or three, I can borrow?

This is one of my favorite outfits of Hudson's.  The sweater and shoes were knitted by one of my coworkers in Chicago.  She is a pro and is one of the people that put me on the knitting train.  Thanks Jill!  I have attempted hats and accessories, but knitting blankets are my go-to.

We also celebrated my Memaw's birthday this past weekend in Louisville.  She turned the big 8-0 and is as sharp as ever.  It's always great to see family and get together with all the kiddos.  I will post those pictures next week.  Uncle Steve - send me those pictures pleaseeeee!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
