Angela here! We've had a little comedian on our hands the past two weeks. Hudson has developed some new facial expressions, habits and has even increased his vocabulary. Well sort of...his inflections are good but the pronunciations can use some improvement. His new favorite words are chicken (ik-in), llama (alm-ma) and cousins (ah-ins). He can't say "cow" yet but he will moo at a picture for you. And he can't say "please" or "all done," but he can sign it for you.
Below is Hudson's new "Ohh" face. Anytime he sees something new, fun and exciting, he will make this expression. I have caught both Chris and myself making this face, so I'm not sure who to blame. But it's hysterical to watch.
And another funny face. At first he wanted to climb up the stairs. But when he noticed me in the playroom, he stuck his head between the banisters and gave me a "cheeeese."
Below is Hudson's new stance. Hands crossed behind the back as he fixates on you or an object. Sometimes he'll walk around the house like this and it looks like he is holding his hips. Again, hysterical. I can just see the wheels spinning in his head as he observes the world around him. Someday soon I'm going to have a jabbering little man....and I can't wait to hear what he has to say (I may regret that statement later on, so feel free to remind me when I complain).
Huddy is working on mastering the use of a straw. Unfortunately, it is with my water bottle. I love this water bottle and always have it on hand. So naturally he gravitated towards it. I caught him this week giving the "ohhh" face and reaching for it. I haven't had it since....
And he still loves his books. He's not too keen on the height of the book holder, but he seems to have adjusted just fine.
We played in the sunflower garden for a bit over the holiday weekend. There is a field near our house where everyone goes to take pictures and let the kids run around. There was a lot of mud from all the rain we've been having, so his poor little feet kept getting stuck. But the pictures were cute.
Next is a YouTube video. Mister Personality keeps us entertained all day everyday. This is how we start our Saturday mornings. Wheels on the Bus and some dance moves. Notice how when the "mama says shh," he stops dancing and looks around. He is just like his daddy; they do not like that word.
And lastly, Huddy and his phone. If you must call Hudson, please leave a detailed funny message or he will give you this expression...
Hope everyone has good week and fun weekend!
