Pumpkins, Pools, Parks and Girl Clothes

Angela here!  I start this blog with a retraction from a previous statement in the last blog.  Lolly is NOT the best grandparent ever.  I know this is hard to read, but hear me out.  You see, Lolly likes to buy all the grand babies clothes.  Which is great.....unless she buys your son a GIRLS outfit!!!  And the worse part, no one realized it until it was too late.  The morning started with Chris begging to put Hudson in the Nike outfit that Lolly bought.  Nike = Boy, right?  Well after Hud was all dressed and ready, we did think the pants were a tad snug, but we contributed that to the cloth diaper.  But we failed to notice the PINK Nike check on the shirt and pants.....
....and we failed to notice our son prancing around and pointing his toe like a ballerina!!!  This should have been a red flag.
I will admit, I may put him in the shirt one more time (it has a lot of blue in it!).  And then I will wash it.  And then I will give the outfit to baby Claire.  Another parent fail.  Lolly - I allow you to continue to buy clothes, but please pick the appropriate children's department :)

The two water bottle feens!

We went to our first pumpkin patch of the year.  It was actually a store and a farm house, but it was cute.  They had red wagons that you could put all your goodies in, as well as bunnies, geese and chickens.  Ohio is hardcore about festivals and fall farms, so October should be a fun month for us.

Huddy loves to dance around my mums!  I'm proud of myself for keeping them alive for so long.  Remembering to water flowers is such hard work.

We did a lot of family outings this past weekend.  On Saturday afternoon, everyone met up at the park.  The weather was gorgeous!  We brought the Hummer and let Anderson drive Huddy around the basketball court.  I wouldn't say Anderson is the best driver, but he did do awesome at keeping the gas pedal floored and not letting the steering wheel move.  The boys did endless circles of fun or about two hours.

I happened to capture the only moment where Hudson looked appalled with the car and his cousin.  At least Anderson is sporting a nice grin.
Best buds.

On Sunday, Aqua Tots Pool was having a free swim day for all the Kids R Kids daycare kiddos.  So the crew headed out for two hours of fun swimming.  Hudson continues to love the water; he is fearless.  Which makes me fearful!  But he did learn how to blow bubbles in the water.  Well, kinda.  I actually think he ate/drank more water, but he was trying to make bubbles, so that counts.  And he loved to watch Anderson.  If one jumped in the pool, the other one followed.  If one screamed, the other screamed louder (no competition, but my child was WAY louder on the screaming).  But I have to admit, baby Claire beat out both boys, as she screamed the loudest when anyone other her mama was holding her.  We took a family vote, and she will not be invited back to the pool for awhile.
Sorry Shannon - majority rules :)

Hope everyone has a good rest of the week and fun weekend!
